Snowed in

As it's icy and covered in snow outside there's less to report and more time to report it. Go figure. I got my neighbour's banking done for him despite the weather, second try and at least know what to do and where to go for the second one. Tomorrow's wonderful dirty job has been cancelled at least due to the weather, and have Streetviewed the next photo trip but not sure when the snow will allow it to happen. Then I have to clear downstairs ready for the visitors at new year as I've done since my friends went abroad when we took it in turns. If nothing else I can Streetview most of the day if stuck indoors, except last night when the cable went down yet again for a couple of hours.

You do get hooked on the smallest things when alone, so spent the day working through a new loaf of pretty decent bread before it needs freezing to catch the mould in time. And the dietician says it doesn't put on weight like cakes so not so guilty for doing so. Next weekend I could go 40 miles for a sign 'because it is there' although may be classed as a museum exhibit, but unlikely to get it otherwise. There was also another nearby so will check that out as well. I remember in 1996 or so I went to someone on the A3 somewhere that way to get some old train tickets for my collection, and realised when I'd left I wasn't that far from Portsmouth so carried on and did the 30 or so miles there to get some pretty good ferry tickets before they also went soon after. I collected the final batch of used tickets from the ferry office nearby after that after phoning to ask them. The Portsmouth Harbour ticket office kept me visiting regularly after the rest of the country had long stopped using the old train tickets, and missed seeing the Queen the second time in my life as I saw police swarming around and automatically walked the other way. On my return the Queen's car was there, having dropped her off and missed seeing her by a few minutes. That was after the office visit but can't have it all.

I suppose as long as the internet's connected a day at home free is never a bad thing, but can run out of appeal the third in a row which will happen soon if it stays the same outside. I could do more of the internet course tomorrow I suppose, and just get on with it till the weather breaks. And still looking for hidden treasure if any exists.

It must be a poor World News week now that the great Climate Change Conference has finished as all we are getting of WORLD events on Australian TV News is about that it is snowing in the UK and Europe and a bit in the USA. I can only assume that they now have VERY young TV news reporting crews and producers etc and that SNOW is something they haven't seen before, yet we do have the world famous Victorian Snowfields and Winter sports that match anything that Switzerland etc has. But when we in Australia get seven minutes of WORLD NEWS about snow in Basingstoke etc WOW must be proof of global warming as nobody has ever seen the stuff before. I sure hope that the whole of Europe has two months of continued snow and power cuts as that will put and end to the global warmers case.

If only, the deluded cretins are already saying it's no longer about global warming but climate change, and this is a result of it. It's like being the only sober one at a stag night but a lot more dangerous.

Can you or someone please explain what the NEW meaning of the term Climate Change means? The present Oxford English Dictionary hasn't got the term in it and neither has the Aussie Macquarie Dictionary.
I always assumed that the words meant "The prevailing weather conditions of an area; a region with certain weather conditions. To take or use another instead of.
And seeing that climate in any area will be constantly changing as Season (Divisions of the year, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) do vary even on a hour/day/week/month basis and that nowhere is constantly consistent with the same TOTAL weather situation for 365 days of an Earth year therefore Climate Change is always happening and has always happened.
Yesterday where I live it was 42C and hot, today it is 30C and getting colder and will rain tomorrow it will be different. In England sometimes in December is snows, sometimes it does not. Sometimes in August there is flooding, sometimes there is not. Sometimes the Daffodils flower in February, sometimes they wait until late March. Sometimes the Gulf Stream that keeps the UK temperatures warmer that it should be when compared with others on the same Latitude, ie Newfoundland, the Gulf Stream alters a little and so the UK can become warmer or colder but that is NORMAL Climate Change so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE will someone explain to me and David here just what is the NEW meaning of Climate Change? Thank you.

Oh and another thing. Is Climate Change the same as Global Warming? If not then what happened to the Global Warming scare that we were given by Al Gore, world governments etc?

I am able to do that, you've missed the purpose of the whole practice of propaganda, climate change means whatever they want it to. Choose a phrase that catches enough and repeat it whenever you want to blame the scapegoat, and eventually people lose the whole meaning of it, as you and most of the world has. I know most of these tricks and the other classic as I described is taking credit for something that was going to happen anyway. Smoke and mirrors but a lot easier to see through with a little effort but these guys want to blame someone for the world.
