I will reiterate two replies to yesterday's comment here, god is not religion and I do not believe, I don't know. That means all believers are also agnostics as if they don't know they have no basis to believe. If you're not enlightened you have no direct knowledge of god, and even they may have it wrong. But the synchronicity in my own life and others tells me that as everything frequently fits together so exactly it would need a scriptwriter, then either I'm creating the lot like a dream or a force which can create and control everything is, and that's a pretty good definition of god. That doesn't make god good or bad, the good part isn't even in the bible as god is a moody bastard and so was his son Jesus, so if you expect the existence of god to mean it should be like heaven then you haven't read enough to demonstrate god is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. No one said he's a decent guy really from many official sources, he smites, creates ghastly illnesses and all the things the atheists use as a reason he can't exist, while in fact no one who does believe ever thought the opposite but still believes despite all the nasty stuff.
So god existing won't stop all the usual crap happening or not, if god made bogies and periods it means he has a mean streak and like all dictators may well enjoy the power a bit too much, or it could be a test for us and we do indeed move on to better and better places. Who knows, but at least I've learnt one lesson here is that god existing has never meant heaven on earth.
My goal of enlightenment is the escape from the effects of the crap, as that crap is always the same and as that won't change only we can. I have extended all my own feelings and senses through meditation already to prove what we start with is only the basics, and all can be improved, but unlike my weightlifting all but the clairvoyance die down very quickly and can't often be recalled at will. But once you've seen you can see auras, feel way better than normal, and hear others can do the same for every other area then we are designed to increase and improve our resources indefinitely, and enlightenment is the spiritual equivalent of a PhD. Having spent 13 years using pretty basic methods to reach that level I got basically nowhere, and only discovered a couple of teachers who used the god analogy as a route rather than a goal, as by personifying the force you get in touch with it better. That's where the mind is dropped as there's no point trying to understand the mechanisms as I said last time, just trust the teachers and any results you get. How and why isn't important. But I'll never get religion, that's nothing to do with god and just a spiritual version of politics.
I suppose I'm pretty lucky I've found a small crack in the seal anyway, not big enough for me to get through yet but enough to have allowed a little more through when it opened a bit. There are other clues I notice which imply there is a bit more than random chance behind the lot, but my goal is simply to feel good as is everyone else's. Labelling it isn't as important as getting there, and also if I see things happen around me which aren't supposed to then it is my duty to investigate. Synchronicity is written about throughout history, and basically a tiny minority of people want to know more so will not be interested in getting any higher than they already are, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. But the few motivated to keep going beyond the boundaries of existing knowledge can't avoid doing so and is not necessary for anyone else to want to follow. Many predictions say we are all headed there eventually, but some have to start although everyone will follow in the end. It's the same evolution which affects everything else and if we're still evolving then our consciousness will do so too.
So basically most people can't get this, and the few who do know pretty much exactly what I'm saying and our only problem is getting there. We can't do much else as it promises so much more than we could get otherwise.

The nature of God
As requested by Roger, my current knowledge on god. I am no believer but suspect there may be something quite different behind the religious view. But for everyday life something few have thought of- 'who cares?'. Everything is exactly as it is. If god exists it's a bloody mess, if not then that's random and as you'd expect a mix of the best and the worst and everything else in between. But if god made it then so what? It's just the same however it came about.
Religion however is manmade. Does anyone who's followed their rules for a lifetime done better than those who haven't? I don't think so. It's made some quite normal people do some very bad things however and believe we could all do far better without any at all.
But there are areas we can't explain. Our senses only go so far, as do scientific instruments. If you can't see it or measure it today doesn't mean it's not there. I did just read something by the German Abd-Ru-Shin written almost 100 years ago saying god was not omnipresent, but separate from us in a different dimension. That makes as little sense as any other theory, but shows they don't all agree. My take on the usual view of it means we are aware of god in everything we are aware of now. If we become adepts then we become god as creators. The multiverse would be every creation beyond our own. That makes mathematical sense and would mean my awareness is god, and rather than actually choose how things are and know my identity actually got bored, started a 80 or so year long dream, after which I'll wake up and start all over again (reincarnate). The only way to stop this is to wake up before I die, in which case I become enlightened and end all reincarnation as I realise I'm god as I've become bored with the dream. That's what the Buddhists say and is more logical than the rest. No other god than 'I am' (as named in the bible), enlightenment is when this becomes an aware reality.
You then have to think from God's perspective. Creating all this would have to be to keep occupied. Worshipping him (ie yourself ) wouldn't make any sense, and the rules would be based purely on pleasure and pain, as they were our only true guides. Look for pleasure, avoid pain and then learn to do the same for others. Who needs religion for that one? Animals do that up to a point as far as pleasure is concerned, and some do help others as well as anyone with cats or dogs would know when they do something on their own to look after you. But a god wouldn't expect his creation to not only worship him, but then go a step further and worship what to our senses is nothing. You'd design human beings to progress only if they worship a totally invisible creator? One who has also built in so many apparently pointless faults- parasites, viruses, old age, baldness, all the massive yawning gaps and still say a perfect being designed an imperfect universe?
On the plus side I am able to receive information as many others are. Neale Donald Walsch claims his is direct from god while others like me believe it's from the Akashic Record of all information, or possibly from the minds of beings higher evolved than us who guide us indirectly making it appear the good ideas are ours when in fact they've added help when needed. Not enough of course as we still have Al Gore, but only god himself is perfect. Beyond normal consciousness is meditative consciousness, I've got there for a few minutes and felt prana for many hours, and without meditation are unlikely to find that. But they're real and not a single person can convey it to another. Those who claim to experience god can't either, it's in its nature if real so far, although as omnipotent could indeed decide to change the rules at any time (like Big Brother) and show up just like Jesus was meant to have done. I reckon besides the miracles I'm as good a bet for that as anyone.

The cult of climate
Global warming has been called a religion quite rightly, but I realised it's not quite acting like a normal religion, but a cult. This is nothing to do with the science being good or not, but the human result of the idea. I checked out the characteristics of cults which confirmed the majority being applicable, and possibly with time more will happen. Here's how it applies:
A charismatic leader, whose misdemeanours are overlooked and treated as omniscient regardless/ Al Gore, material untruths in film, no effect on followers.
Followers controlled primarily with fear of future disaster/armageddon and given solutions by leader that must be followed in order to avoid this. Jehovah's Witnesses are a wonderful comparison with their list of strict rules for salvation. Of course if you follow these rules you earn the right to heaven, in this case a carbon neutral environment.
Own language/ The preponderance of unique terms used as essential core concepts, carbon footprint, carbon neutral, low carbon, sustainable industry, alternative energy, and many more unique terms that had never been coined before and used to control actions are rife within the movement.
Insults for outsiders/ Oil addicts, deniers, petrolheads etc were never used before then, they exclusively pour scorn and derision on outsiders who they see as a dangerous enemy.
Huge fees offered and accepted by leaders/ Carbon credits, green taxes.
Preoccupation with generating money- see above, plus grants, charity projects, research etc.
Proselytisation/ Read The Guardian and watch BBC digital for a few days just for a taster. The BBC run a couple of programmes on a loop, one for children on the Teachers Channel explaining what would happen for a degree centigrade change per degree and another interviewing children (with leading questions) on climate change.
Discouraging doubts/ Every time a new piece of data comes out that differs from their picture they explain it away. An unusually cold winter is only weather, not cvlimate. Ten years stability with maybe twenty ahead doesn't change the trend etc.
The ends justify the means/ They actually admit that it will remove much of what we take for granted in life, but worth it EVEN IF THE CONSEQUENCES ARE NOT CERTAIN.
Us v them mentality/ If you're not agreed you're a polluter. That is their mantra.
Shame and guilt used to control/ Paul McCartney said denying climate change is as bad as denying the holocaust (except that has already happened Paul). That is a typical emotionally charged guilt trip they use to try and force people to take on their belief system.
I didn't work these criteria out, I just recognised them.

Why aliens have not visited Earth
There are three types of blog, personal, news/information and fiction. I don't do fiction, provide new information when I have it, and otherwise can only report personal events. Being the same life as last time it's difficult to be very different from before, but then again when watching TV do you want total discontinuity in the dramas you watch every day, like Toady and Harold leaving Neighbours on the same day? So if you are interested in a person you have to put up with them following a path as they are as if it's boring for you imagine what it's like living through it.
So, the current daily policy of planning a day ahead when possible or like tomorrow not at all has worked so far. The media work is moving slowly and not surely, but another finish will be very welcome. The one little opening in my life was catching another naughty number plate I'd seen twice before but with no camera or chance to see it parked. My original theory it was a remade BC plate from Canada seems spot on, and very bad as used as a hire vehicle so each user is committing an offence (not enforced mind you). Typically the company who own it who have been there for years have just closed public operation despite still being there, so I will have to barge in the office and see if I can get any sense out of them. Not my preference but left with no other choice.
I am a bit in the eye of the storm at the moment, there is more than the usual chaos around me, but as I am not being directly affected by it am carrying on in a straight line and although constantly reminded of the situations as there's nothing more I can do about them just try and get busy doing other things. The fact those other things are totally unknown now doesn't help but are pretty obvious. More photos (Eastcote?), another video (with or without me in it) and ordering prints now all the shots are on my memory stick. The number plate told me one thing I needed to know, when there's absolutely nothing something can still turn up. Hardly ever admittedly, but this was totally out of my hands as all news is.
So, there are no more plans or ideas. I've done two pages of photo trips already and there aren't any new ideas at all. At least having learnt meditation when there was nothing on TV I did it, until the internet arrived. If there's nothing on life I could do that more. It's true although unertain if possible if you're good inside what goes on outside has little effect. If you can cultivate that meditation is the only way although incredibly slow. And I started 11 years ago.
I reckon this was a major reason for religion as when life outside stops the door to let in God opens. People become so desperate their imaginary wish for salvation becomes so real to them they name it God and build a whole false philosophy on it. Not me thanks. I can see the signs and get well away from what is only a childlike wish for something better, and as the natural can't always provide it it only leaves the supernatural. Jesus, Allah, God, what difference does it make when all seeded by the same lack of success in life. One sad fact to add is not one believer can show me I'm wrong. Of course if they could there'd no longer be any doubt over religion, and by its nature religion can only exist as uncertainty, if certain it would become known science and no longer supernatural, and people would naturally look for something else as they'd find holes in whatever became real.
Maybe the reason aliens don't come and show themselves is not because of nuclear weapons but religion. They decide as long as a planet is still religious it's not ready for them. Makes as much sense to me, they think we're all a bunch of fucking idiots!

Religion and more
Firstly, two observations on religion. One, we pour scorn in tribal religions and sun worshippers, but what on earth difference are they from our modern or popular ones? Are the bible stories any less outlandish or have I missed something.
If you compare the delusions of the average schizophrenic there is little difference besides the huge number who accept the religious ones.
Next, the comfort God gives to his followers is no different to a sugar pill. If you look close enough at religion it's founded on nothing. There's nothing there. If people have found a way to feel good for no reason then just use that without the nonsense.
Now back to reality. My neighbour pissed around on the computer yesterday and it's running around 250hz now. No idea why but something's got in. I can't even do a virus scan as it's too slow for that. I cleaned the disk but no effect. System restore next step.
Otherwise it's been another busy week, and got a few essential jobs out of the way. One was returning a library book to my school after 37 years. I knew it was here but hadn't got round to taking it until I had to contact them about something else. The secretary was pretty nice as well. A good reason to return for the full tour I turned down today (nowhere to park for starters). I've really narrowed down my list of awaited news to two items. The rest are irrelevant. All that's happened so far is my 3rd pair of Status Quo tapes arrived to replace the lost or damaged ones from the past. I already heard last week why my 4th TV programme hadn't been shown, the firm went broke before completing the series so totally down to them to fix it now it's been passed along. No more plans now, none. OK, two minutes on Monday to fill a prescription. Two visitors couldn't make it midweek, one being a relief as has now become a pest, so I've completed all my work virtually alone, as usual for the current period of time.
Of course timing is irrelevant in my career, if a project is completed when is not important. What is important is the current one is the biggest ever and my first newspaper job. Meanwhile after thinking I could catch up with last year's series of Grange Hill after I discovered there was one came to a halt on the second day when they stopped it as it was about suicide. Pathetic. No idea if they will show it now, or if before the new and final series in April.
I can't see ahead besides having to wait in for the cleaner tomorrow. More than that I cannot say. The week was fine really and I just hope the rewards are next. It's been a long time coming if it is.
